Founder & Director
Yimin J
Yimin developed a passion for both music and dance at a young age and majored in Practical Music Composition in Korea, building a strong musical foundation that informs her approach to movement and performance. She began her dance training in Ballet and Jazz, and later expanded her expertise through professional training in New York, where she trained in Street Jazz, Contemporary Jazz, Hip Hop, and Commercial Hip Hop.
During her time in New York, Yimin was selected to perform in works by professional choreographers and gained hands-on experience in commercial choreography creation and stage performance. She later worked as a dance instructor in New York and New Jersey, where she refined her teaching philosophy and developed a strong focus on structured K-pop dance education.
After relocating to Texas in 2021, Min founded
TEAMYMIN Dallas
and later established
K-Pop Dance North Texas (KDNT)
in 2024. As Founder and Director, she leads the academy with a long-term, growth-focused approach, creating a professional yet supportive training environment where students build strong fundamentals, performance skills, and confidence through K-pop dance.
Regular Class Instructors
Faith Lee
Faith Lee is a K-POP dance instructor with over four years of teaching experience. She double majored in Musical Theatre and Vocal Performance, building a strong musical foundation that enhances her approach to movement, rhythm, and stage experience.
With solid training across multiple dance styles—including Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet, and Hip-Hop—she brings both technical precision and dynamic energy to her classes. She is known for her keen attention to detail, structured yet engaging teaching style, and extensive stage experience.
Faith has organized and led numerous K-POP cover team performances, guiding dancers to develop confidence on stage while learning the importance of teamwork and collective performance. Her favorite K-POP groups include aespa and BABYMONSTER.
Ina Kim
Ina majored in Vocal Performance and brings a strong musical foundation into her teaching, applying musical interpretation, rhythm, and emotional expression to movement.
She has experience teaching children through structured church programs and has participated in various stage performances, gaining hands-on experience in both teaching and performance. Through ongoing dance training and consistent practice, she focuses on K-POP–based performance training, helping students build the fundamentals and expression needed for K-POP choreography.
Her classes emphasize strong foundational skills in a positive and supportive environment, with the goal of helping students grow in confidence while enjoying the process of learning and self-expression through dance.
Joyce Moon
With over ten years of performance experience, Joyce brings a dynamic and well-rounded approach to dance education. Throughout the past decade, she has participated in a wide range of dance performances, developing a strong stage presence, musicality, and adaptability across styles and settings.
In addition to dance, Joyce has extensive experience in multiple aspects of music, including playing various instruments and working with sound engineering. This deep understanding of rhythm, phrasing, and audio production allows her to connect movement and music in a meaningful way, helping students not only learn choreography but truly feel the music they are dancing to.
As an instructor, Joyce emphasizes musical awareness, technique, and expressive performance, creating a supportive and engaging learning environment for dancers of all levels. Her interdisciplinary background in both dance and music brings a unique perspective to the classroom, encouraging students to grow as confident, versatile performers.

Saniya Parks
With a solid foundation of 15 years in classical dance training, Saniya brings a high level of technical expertise to the Kpop world. As an instructor for over five years, she specializes in breaking down complex idol choreography while emphasizing the fundamental mechanics that make a performance look professional. Saniya has spent the last four years dedicated to K-pop, both as a professional backup dancer for idols and as the director of her own cover teams. She is passionate about bridging the gap between classical technique and modern Kpop performance, ensuring every student develops both skill and stage presence.
Jackson Cheng
Jackson Chen (Head, Street Dance Division) is a versatile street dance instructor skilled in Popping, Hip-Hop, Urban Style, and Jazz Funk. With 14 years of dance experience and 4 years of teaching experience, he continues to expand and refine his knowledge across a wide range of dance styles.
In addition to his role at KDNT, Jackson is also an instructor at XJ Star Academy, where he has further developed his teaching expertise through diverse training environments and student levels.
Known for his approachable and humorous teaching style, Jackson creates a relaxed yet focused learning atmosphere. He emphasizes detailed instruction, strong foundational technique, efficient use of the body to generate power, and proper posture alignment. His classes focus on building confidence while ensuring that students experience dance as both enjoyable and empowering.
Jackson believes that dance should be a source of joy and happiness, and he is dedicated to helping students grow with confidence and enthusiasm.
